Has anyone taken 90 mg of buspar and has it helped their depression? I am currently taken 60 mg. The pdoc says this is a low dose. She thinks buspar is worthless. Personally, I think it helps depression a bit, but not the anxiety. So, I was thinking about increasing the dosage to 90 mg with the Lexapro 10 mg/day. I hope it would help my depression and the sexual side affects of the lexapro.
I haven't had any weight gain with the Lexapro. In fact, I have no appetite. I have to force myself to eat. It may be my depression. I don't want to increase the Lexapro. I would rather increase the buspar. Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated.

Regarding it as worthless is is rather cavalier, it has worked for some people. [Mainly as an adjunctive therapy]. Also, you know how you feel your pdoc may not if she has never experienced your condition. Regards, Micro

I have not tried Buspar. I increased Lexapro to 30 mg about 10 weeks ago with good results.
