Is change a good thing? I've had PTSD since 1995. I've had many treatments, many different meds, and one that has stayed the same. With treatment through meds, will I ever not need these meds?

I made an attempt to stop that one med (zyprexa 10 mg) that I'm taking since 98' on my own. When I finaly got to my next pdoc apointment: I got nervous and he put the med back up. Then later, up some more. Then he added anouther simalar med. And the antidepresant back up. So now taking more medicen than before. I'm feeling like its just too much. Do I realy need all this medicine? Is it up to me to decide some how. Is that what they do just keep giving you more medicine till you can't take anymore?

That night, after the accident that killed my freind. I talked to the police. Got droped off, and smoked a joint with my freind. Every night for the next while I smoked a joint. Then I just stoped. Within a year, I went psychotic. And then all the treatments i needed... And still need. Will I ever get off the medicine and treatments. Or do i realy need this for the rest of my life?

The thing is I felt fine coming off the medicine, untill I thought of going to the doctor.

I don't know why I wanted to increase the dose back up to 10 mg, I was doing so good at 7.5. Now I am tired all the time, moods realy suck. I'm going back down to 7.5 and start back on Abilify.
Too much zyprexa is depressing. Realy it makes me depressed. Maybe its all the tiredness, I don't know.
This time I'm going to make the "change" work.
