Are any of you NOT hand shakers???

Posted by mamacindy2000 on November 28, 2003, at 0:33:04

Especially with the flu season, I dont shake anyones hand. Most people are offended by this. I find my self having to explain myself. They made fun of me while I was out last night, calling me "what about bob". I love my Wellbutrin but I think it is making me a little more obsessive, than I have been in many, many years. Maybe its the rest of world who has the problem, not me?

I dunno about the hand shaking thing, but I do have a feeling that Wellbutrin definitely exacerbates obsessions. It seems to do that for me, at least.

I don't worry about shaking hands with someone. You can't get the flu that way. You're much more likely to get the flu because someone with the virus sneezes or they touch something with contaminated hands. Just keep your hands away from your mouth and nose, and wash them before you eat. There's alway a chance no matter how careful you are, you'll still get sick. SO DON"T WORRY ABOUT IT TOO MUCH.

I agree with the above, but sometimes it is difficult to keep your hands away from your face. Perhaps a more practical solution would be to keep a small bottle of alcohol based hand sanitizer in your pocket and use it after you shake hands with someone, touch a doorknob, etc.

Regarding Wellbutrin and obsessions...I've never put the two together, but I do tend to be obsessive (but not compulsive). I've been on Wellbutrin for seven years and I forget what it's like without it.

Thanks, Good idea. Im going out tonight we'll see. (nm) » Waterlily
