ADDERALL /MAD And CONFUSED

Posted by femlite on October 29, 2003, at 13:55:21

I know I shouldnt get my hopes up like this but here it comes...
pdoc #4
Takes me off WBxl. (because I complained that it made me congnitively dimwitted)
It was keeping my energy up (good enough)
And mood swing breakthroughs were minimal.
Any way, I withdrew and he gave me adderall 20mg. xr to replace it. Plus ativan 1mg 3x a day and
lith morning and night.(which Ive been taking at night for 2 weeks)
Day one
Took the adderall at 7:am felt overwhelming mental calrity and good energy but slight anxiety.
Noon... I completely crashed!!!! I dont get it!
I MEAN CRASH. Tears, sobs, anxiety, ideation....
Pdocs office was a big help... well youll just have to wait till your next apointment...unles you want to be committed :<
No explanation, no tech support, zilch.

Any ideas?
Am I a fast metaboliser? 5 hours... I hadnt even reached peak blood levels.

Im so mad, I feel sunk. I never should have quit the WB. I know I can start back up but Im afraid Ill end up having to live with half a loaf, ya know?

My pet theory is that folks who are non- or partial-responders to stimulants taken for ailments for which the stimulants are first-line are running in a state of dopamine and/or norepinepherine depletion. I would consider L-tyrosine, a multivitamin with plenty of B6 and C, and maybe TMG, methionine, inositol, and B12 if slow methylation is the problem. These should be safe in conjunction with meds within reason. YMMV though.
