I have anxiety and depression. over the years it's turned into this bipolarII stuff.. who knows right? anyway prozac alone helps some symptoms not all I'm currently on trileptal and I think it helps a little but I'm wondering if there is another moodstablizer that is better with the anxiety and depression.
No weight gain PLEASE! The lethargy from prozac over many years shot me up 50 pounds.
wellbutrin is too stimulating for me.
so any suggestions would be appreciated...Thanks

I am bipolar I, but mostly suffer with depressive episodes. I have had actual manic episodes previously so I am classified bipolar I if that makes sense. Anyway, I also have problems with severe anxiety as well (odd how similar people can be). I recently started taking Topamax because after taking Lithium for the second time the side effects were too much for me to handle. I am happy to say at this point I am in a FANTASTIC mood!!!! I have been taking it for over 3 months and the side effects are minimal. I also take Neurontin for anxiety. Good luck! Karen
