Hi,
My doctor just upped my Topamax to 50 mg's in the morning and the same at night and I started to experience muscle weakness. I can barely make it up the stairs in my house. I usually walk 30 mins in the morning and sometimes in the afternoon and I can barely make it now. Wasn't sure if I am coming down with something or if it could be the topamax since it is the same time the dosage went up. Anyone???????

My doctor just started me on topamax on a very low doseage but already I'm experiencing strange side effects. muscle pain,dizziness and nausea. Did you experience these too? If so how long do they last and do they increase with increased doseage as that is what he plans for me?

Well, I did have the nausea a little bit. I had no interest in food. Which for me was good because I am on topamax really for binge eating. Which it has helped. I am amazed! Anyway, my muscle weakness has pretty much went away, so it must have been a side effect that went away now or I was catching something. I have noticed that I am always feeling really dried up and dehydrated. That must be from the topamax too. And I drink a ton of water.
