I began treatment for panic disorder and depression about 6 years ago. Paxil got me through and felt great for 3-4 years. I switched to effexor for lesser sexual SE's. Fine up til two years ago. I think it was an all day panic attack. Haven't felt same since. My head has odd physical feelings heaviness, dizzness, sight, everything is experienced differntly. I obsess about it all day long to the point of hypochodrianism. I've seen all the docs.
I switched back to Paxil because it had worked, felt the same, I weaned off for about 2 months and didn't feel better, went to lexapro and I generally still feel like crap.
I feel like quitting these SSRI's. Could they have just stopped working and are causing these side effects? Could I try to wean off of lexapro for a longer time and use xanax as a crutch?
