I've seen many studies on amisulpride and dysthymia, depression, but never a study that concerned amisulpride + social phobia/anxiety.

Maybe sulpiride? (nm)

That's right. But as far I can remenber, some people on this board talked about they could convince their doctor to try amisulpride for social phobia, by showing them a study, made by a private clinic (in the UK?).
I can not find any link or internet page about this. Or anything about Amisulp. and social phobia/anxiety.

The reason why I am asking is that I am currently in hospital. There is a computer room for stundents here, but no printer :-(
The fist post was from home (printer)
They took away my amisulpride because they said there is no reason to take an antipsychotic. They added Lexapro. I hate it and just dont swollow the pills anymore(I put them into my pocket). It made me depressed like hell, and they do not believe me and say things like: you are just depressed because there is a depressed atmosphere here ... bla bla bla all this psychological crap. I already gave the doctor some pubmed printouts from pubmed about amisulpride and dystymia. I have my own amisulpride there also, so I just take it instead of Lexapro (They dont know about this). I want to convince them to give it to me "officially".

Maybe the pubmed printouts (dystymia) alone will convince them (the doctor was very thankful and interested about it)

thanks anyway

Roland

PS: hsopital is a awful place..
People bound to their bed, on haldol etc.... screaming ... I hope I will be out of here soon, after some clinical checkups are done.
Wish me luck

the SP stands for Social Phobia and has nothing to do with the name of the drug.

Amisulpride is an anti-psychotic which acts as a dopaminergic antideressant at low doses (50-100mg)

Psycotic people take 200 - 1500mg and more

HI Rod, wish for you all the best! Hi to everybody.
Amisulpride at non antipsicotic dosage (50mg) help me a lot with my SP and my Distimie in complex. (plse read my post just above)
Amis at low dosage is a Dopamine-stimulant so it should act as a sort of stimulant in your brain.
I tried to be on 100 mg but it made me too dizzy.
When i am on amis i became very talkative, whant to do a lot of things, meet people, go out, write posts on PSB (lol)...
The problem is, as i wrote, that the right effect wanish within 2-3 days of continous assumption, and became a lot of nasty side effects. So i must stop for a week and than became again.
But i will not to repeat myself.
Apologize for my indecent english!
Take care and bye to everybody.
Keep me strictly posted!!!
Bye
