Is anyone taking Stablon or tried it. I know it has the exact opposite action as SSRIs by speeding up the uptake of serotonin. That interests me because my problems only seemed to be magnified when I tried any of the SSRI meds.

Anyone else have experience with Tianeptine(Stablon). I know it is chemically similar to the dopamine reputake inhibitor Amineptine(removed by FDA) but has a different action as a Serotonin Reuptake Accelerator. By stimulating the uptake of serotonin wouldn't dopamine levels rise? I've read it also reduces the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal response to stress. "In particular it has been noted that tianeptine is effective in depressed patients who also suffer from anxiety and disturbed sleep."- Robert Mason Ph.D.
