Hi there mobsters!
Been out of touch here for a while, so apologies if I've missed any posts.
For anyone who's vaguely interested, here's my update:After a year and a half on Lamictal and 7 months with an added 20mg Prozac, I have successfully (all but) eliminated my BP11 treatment resistant depression.Lamictal has served equally well as a mood stabilizer(allowing me to tolerate Prozac for the first time ever)and as an AD.Also, this combo has cleared up my temper spells/anger issues.
The bad news(ain't there always bad news?!)is that I've experienced a weird and bothersome side effect from day one from Lamictal.A prominent gait disturbance (right side foot dragging/stumbling and difficulty coordinating legs with arms in general-feels like my limbs have been stitched together from stolen bodyparts!)
This now bugs me so much, that I'm contemplating going off Lamictal-although I really would prefer not to)and perhaps trying out Zyprexa or Valproate(again).Or maybe Trileptal or Topomax.
Any recommendations here for a Lamictal alternative??Best,
Col.
PS..How are ya Ron??
This is the end of the thread.
