Posted by becksA on September 9, 2003, at 10:25:39

I started effexor xr about 3 or 4 weeks ago, i'm on 150mg a day and have been having some bad side effects. about 2 and ahalf hours after taking it, i start to feel feverish , get hot and sweaty and this lasts about 10 minutes...also i have been having to urinate like crazy, wakes me up at night sometimes....anybody else get these symptoms?

perfectly normal side effect. i thought i was constantly coming down with something. that side effect faded away. i'm taking 300mg daily.

Effexor made me thirsty which resulted in drinking more water, thus I had to go more. I personally attributed it to getting older, not Effexor, who knows? I have a pea-sized bladder anyways.

Oh yeah, the 3:00a.m. or 4:00a.m. wakeups. Went away when I was put on Trazadone at night. By the way (BTW), I'm the 3-dot police officer and you're guilty of excessive dots. 4, count them. FOUR. Nah, I'm probably just being Obsessive Compulsive about them. I'm funny about some things.

Good Luck on Effexor. It's worked wonders for me.
