Why not try Mirapex? I don't think there would be an interaction. Raising dopamine may help in OCD. Just a thought. Also, you have not considered Lamictal which apparently is quite helpful as well.

Funny you mention this...I recall a post about someone loving this stuff...just recently it was posted. I confess I know nothing of it...what's the other name for it?

It's funny...Zyprexa lowers it...but that seems to help.
If it's the DA that is the cause of the OCD Bromocrptine is also great to raise levels.

Yeah, definately. Really good for derealization/aura probs. It's the BIG treatment in the UK for this. My doc is a bit averse to it. They hypothesise D/R comes from excessive stimulation of the 5HT2 receptor...this does indeed seem congruent with my situation...Lithium with Nardil made it worse and I'm sure I've read Lithium acts on that receptor. Also, Anafranil too..same situation. Much more potent than Nardil in respect to 5HT agonism...receptor 2 too.
> JACKThanks so much dude...I'll be doing some research on Mirapex.Check out my post below..things are looking so good at the moment I might not need to augment.
BTW, are you going to give Parnate a shot? I think I asked b4 but forgot to check for your reply.
God Bless Jack, Take Care.

Generic name is Pramipexole.

There is something to your theory that 90 may have been worse than 60. I recall djmmm saying something to this effect before that for some people more is not better. Also, if excess 5ht is a problem, 90 may have been causing excess 5ht.

As crazy as it sounds, I do not want to try an MAOI for a while because I am afraid it WILL work. You see, I am so scared of poopout that I fear that if I get on an MAOI and then it poops out, I will never be able to find a suitable replacement. So, I intend to try several things before an MAOI. I will probably start with Parnate just because of its slightly favorable s/e profile over Nardil. Esp. the fact that it does not seem to cause as much sedation. My current med regime is Effexor 225 and WB 300, I am probably going to replace WB with mirapex OR possibly add in Lamictal to see if my doctor's hints that I may be Bipolar II are true. Good luck and I am glad that Nardil is back for you. Your posts have always been an inspiration because it reminds me that if all else fails, Nardil is there.

There is a few options.
1. Have Nardil and Parnate. When one dies switch to the other. I have heard of people doing this throughout their lives - it works for them.
2. Stop the medication altogether for one week. Re-start.
3. Raise dose.
4. Augment.

So glad to hear my posts help. Like I've said Nardil kills depression and kills it big time! Of course, when you first start there might be a rocky ride, but patience will see things work out aright.
