Remeron and Smoking

I have been on Remeron 7.5 mgs. per night for 6 days. I have had increased appetite, but not increased sedation. In fact, I still have insomnia plus wierd dreams. I smoked approximately 12 cigarettes per day before starting the Remeron, now I feel like I constantly have to have a cigarette in my hand. I'm smoking over a pack per day. Has anyone else noticed this?

If its not helping then try
Wellbutrin, it may be better
for smoking, but not necesarily
for sleeping.
