I was just wondering if people have suffered through side effects but eventually felt better on their medication. My side effects are making me feel much more depressed that I've ever felt. I don't see why it has to get worse before better- if it ever does get better. I've been totally out of it for a month now starting on Wellbutrin and then switching to Lexapro. I am about to give up! I felt better when I wasn't on anything.

They take quite a long time to kick in and i guess whilst you are waiting your depression is naturally getting worse. you just have to hang in there, good luck.
Another thing though, Wellbutrin did actually make me very angry and tearful so i had to stop taking it.
Good Luck

Time and time again I hear this. The meds seem to make you worse before you get better.
Maybe the meds are doing it to you or maybe the depression is getting worse. Who knows?
The fact is THINGS ARE NOT AS BAD AS YOU THINK.
Its just the damn illness. You will get better and the sun will shine in your life once more.
Take small steps towards your recovery and feel the strength of all of us willing you to get better.
IT WILL HAPPEN.
