down day

Posted by juliat on March 23, 2003, at 23:13:28

hey everyone,
Ok i'm having a down day, not sure if the effexor is going to work, feeling tired and sick and just generally crappy. I have these days a lot, even when my meds are working, but I just needed to vent to some people who would understand, even if i have never met any of you! thanks for being there.

thank you, like i said it's nice to have people to talk to who actually understand. in my psych class at university we're talking about depression right now, needless to say it's frustrating. to start with i feel like i could teach the class better than my professor could, and secondly i hate having him describe it in such a clinical simplistic way. i realise the rest of the class needs to hear it in a factual way, but it's hard to listen to when i know it's not just facts, its real.... anyway, things are just kind of difficult right now. i also doubled my effexor today, as per doctor's orders, and had the accompanying nausea which made me leave classes early to come home and sleep. so in all, not a great day.

Good for you juliat! I remember when I took Abnormal Psych, I was like,'the revolving door syndrome'-yep been there done that, 'manic depression'-yep know that lol We both could probably teach the classes too. lol I know what you mean.
So whats your dosage now on Effexor since you doubled it?
Did you sleep? Sorry you had to come home from your classes today.
Keep on keepin on:-)
