Different doses of one med aren't always equivalent to a certain amount of another. It's going to depend on how well each SSRI works for you. Some SSRIs had no effect at all on me except for side effects.
I used to take 20 mg Paxil a couple of years ago. I now find that 40 mg of Celexa is right for me, 20 mg didn't improve my mood enough. But this is a very subjective analysis. It may be entirely diff for you.

many people (not all) find 20 mg effective.
I found 10 mg effective. Start with the
st dose and work from there.

Much of the decision to take a certain amount of celexa, or any drug for that matter, depends on your body weight. My psychiatrist says he has some of his heavier patients on upwards of 100mg of celexa a day. I used to take 80mg; needless to say, I was bouncing off the walls and never got a wink of sleep.
