Hi, waiting to go on nardil but have a question that you all might be able to help with better than my doc. Does anyone know if the following is ok to take on nardil?? Iron (i'm anemic and need it), calcium, retin A cream and lactose milk. I'm getting crazier thinking of what is ok to take and not take, but I need to go back on nardil, but don't trust the pharmacist or doc when it comes to some of these questions. Hope I hear from someone, you all seem so helpful. I suffer from atypical depression, plus I'm close to menopause, mood has been horrible and empty for so long. These treads help me, thank you, hope I hear from someone. Carly

Carly, im sorry i have no info regarding your interaction questions, but i feel just like you do right now about things and just had to respond. I am menopausal, waiting to try Nardil and have felt rotten for so long i can hardly face things anymore. I have had bi-polar type II depression for most of my life and have been treated with different drugs that either have stopped working or had intolerable side effects. Its a roller coaster ride that im sick of! It helps me too to hear from others who are going through the same things and i hope the nardil works some "magic" for you! We all need hope and support and i would love to hear how things work out for you.

Thanks for answering Meld. Sorry you're in the same boat I am. Nardil truly worked wonders for me in the past, so why I'm so scared to go on it again, I don't know. Well, the whole restriction thing is scarey. When are you going to start it? I will in a day or so. You know it's hard to get right now. The name of the book I was talking about is "Hormones and the Mind." It's all about how hormones effect depression, especially with us in this time of our lives. I just read here there's a new board for people on Maoi's. I truly hope nardil works for you too, we shouldn't have to feel so bad for so long.
This is the end of the thread.
