Hi - I am moving to Philadelphia next week (starting a new job) and am anxiously seeking a referral for a good therapist. I want someone who uses the cognitive behavioral technique but is not a "single program" person. I am taking MAOIs so it also must be someone not negatively predisposed like many therapists. I want someone empathetic, smart, and who is easy to talk to. Any suggestions/referrals would be immenssely appreciated.

The University of Pennsylvania has an excellent dept.for these things. Dr. Albert Beck (sp?) who is from UPenn, and has written several books, is the originator of CBT. Check it out.
