I have been on just about every SSRI Anti-depressant there is. I also tried Remeron and Elavil. My Dr. when Lexipro came out thought this was to be the new holy grail for me due to the Left-Flipping molecule type of medicine it is. I was on 40 mgs of Celexa after coming out of a deep depression. While on Celexa, of course your sex life is kaput, but i also had major PMS for a week.
Well, long story short, i am on 10 mg of lexipro now, along with 2 mg of klonopin and 10 mg of ambien, and lexipro has really messed me up. I am constantly aggitated, always moving my legs, chewing the inside of my mouth and the anger is worse. Last night, in an absolute rage, i actually hit my husband several times. I have been on lexipro for 6 weeks now. I have asked my Dr. to reconcider because i only felt more tired, more angry and more depressed on it. Needless to say, after my "episode" last night, my husband called my Dr. for an emergency appt. on Thursday. I hope this stuff works for others, i only wish it worked for me. *sigh*
