I just need to know. If a person is getting off painkillers (percocet, and vicadin) cold turkey, would a doctor perscribe atavan to help with the DT's?

Stoping cold is not the way to go, the Atavin will not stop the horrable withdrawal process.
Taper, tapr, taper.

Yes, they will. I have seen this exact situation. And oracle is right, it may help a little bit, but it won't stop the physical withdrawal.
