I've been taking effexor at 37.5 mg once a day. The dr. then decided to up it to 75 mg once a day. Because my body is very sensitive to anything he then decided it best to take me off of the medicine. I was supposed to stop taking the meds friday, and I did. I ended up in the minor emergency room on saturday because of it. I've only been on effexor for about six weeks. I haven't noticed any good changes. At an earlier age I was diagnosed with depression and was treated with prozac. I didn't have ANY side affects, and I told my dr about that and that my body is very sensitive to anything. Over the summer I was diagnosed with A.D.D., depression and anxiety attacks. My dr. told me that effexor would treat the depression and the A.D.D. and the anxiety attacks that I was having. Why then couldn't he put me back on prozac and something else to combat the A.D.D. I've had the WORST side affects from being on this medicine.
This is the end of the thread.
