i was taking Welbutrin SR 100 mg twice a day for about two weeks and didn't feel anything, so my doc increased the doage to 150mg twice a day. I feel very on edge now and can't sleep. I feel very uncomfortable, but i can't get in touch with my doc. I don't want to just stop taking the meds. Can anyone recommend what to do until i get in touch with my doc? should i just take 150mg once a day or go back to the 100mg pill...is it bad to go back down?
please help. thank you so much

It is okay to scale back the doseage until you calm down. My pdoc calls it "overshooting."
Be sure to eliminate all caffeine from your life.

Sharon,
I second Anyuser's advice. You shouldn't have a problem going back to the lower dosage until you can talk to your doctor. After you've talked you may decide to try raising the dose again and seeing if the edginess goes away. For me it did after a few weeks. I also had to cut way down on caffeine when I started Wellbutrin. Finally I took the 2nd dose of the day as early as possible - between 2 and 4 in the afternoon.

Hi. I'm supposed to start WB SR. People say it's "activating," but I'm not sure what to expect that to feel like. Is it revving up in a physical way, or in the way your mind works?
Wasn't sure whether to be ready for my heart or my brain to race...!Thanks
