Can anyone explain to me why they augment some antidepressants with lithum, a mood-darkening/CNS slowing agent, to increase the effectivenes? How can something that works for mania increase the effectiveness of AD's? Same goes for omega-3 fatty acids. Are they good for mania, or depression?
thanks,
cem

Either there are chemical justifications
like the 5-HT or inositol interaction, or
they don't they're doing; sorry that's not
too helpful but i see your message here
unsanswered for a while.Personally, i am afraid of polypharmacy
and mixing drugs - the interactions
can get out of hand;Squiggles
