I am taking Serzone 200mg per day and Wellbutrin 75mg once a day. So both are less than the therapeutic doses. Does this mean that they have no effect? I had PPD and have been on a couple of different meds for 2 years.
I am eager to come off meds altogether and wonder if this is feasible in light of the small doses I am taking.

How are you feeling? My guess is that if you're not feeling well, it would be worth it to up the dose to a therapeutic level. If you are feeling well, then by all means, taper off the meds with supervision. Of course, any med change would require approval from your doctor.
My depression started 7 1/2 years ago as postpartum depression and I've needed meds ever since. I'm also on Serzone and Wellbutrin, only I take 400mg of Serzone and 300mg of Wellbutrin. I would love to be off meds, but several attempts at going off have convinced me that I best play it safe and stay on them.

Thanks Waterlily
I feel great. I was on Topamax for the weight I put on (Zoloft) and I could barely get out of bed in the mornings, I was so tired.
I completely came off Serzone by accident one long weekend, when my psych was out of town - I ran out and couldn't get any for 5 days. She took me off the Topamax, started on Wellbutrin for appetite and went back to Serzone but only 200 to begin tapering off. I am hoping to go off because even going to the gym 5 days a week and watching what I eat, I am not losing any weight and have had enough!
Here's hoping

Sorry about your weight problems. You're not pregnant are you? (Stupid question, but when my sister was dieting and exercising and could not lose weight, she went to her doctor. Turns out she was 28 weeks pregnant!)
Good luck with the tapering.

Pregnant? AAAARRRGHHH. I hope not
I have enough with a 3 and a 4 year old, that's maybe why I had post partum depression plus I moved when they were 3months and 18 months old to a snow-bound country where I couldn't speak a word - that didn't help.
The thought had crossed my mind though!

Sounds like a real challenge. I had enough trouble with mine spaced 2 1/2 years apart and nothing interfering to make it even more difficult. Take care!
