I have just begun taking effexir after one year on
neurontin. Neurontin has kept my bipolar under
control for one year approximately. After one
month of depressive symptoms effexir has been added.
I take 1200 mg of neurontin per day. Any info
about how this combination of drugs has
impacted Bipolar II illness in females in their
late forties. I was diagnosed just one year ago
with bipolar II illness.

Hmmm, I was on Neurontin + Effexor for BPII for a while. It seemed like a pretty effective combination for me. I switched the Effexor for Celexa eventually due to hair loss that may or may not have been related to Effexor.
Neurontin alone did not work for me at all, I had way too much depression.
