Pdoc gave me regular 75 mgs. yellow tablets, the generic type. I am taking 1/2 tablet in the morning. It is giving me raging headaches and diarhea. Would it help to change to the extended release tablets? Are they available in 75 mgs.?I am about to give up this med, but I don't want to. Any advice?

Hi rainbowlight,
FWIW, I've taken Wellbutrin SR and it gave me the worst headache I've ever had from a med. It's my understanding that Tenuate resembles Wellbutrin structurally but is a weaker drug. I'm not a doctor, but if Wellbutrin works well except for the headache you might want to ask about the logic of trying Tenuate instead.

i just don't understand your dose. but, to answer your question. you can get 75mg and 100mg tablets in the immediate release only. i think the sustained release tablets are 100mg and 150mg, and you cannot cut these because if you do then you take away their sustained release effect.
