Hi,
I'm thinking of trying something else beside Depakote. It's the only mood stabilizer I've been on since first being diagnosed as bipolar 2. Sometimes I think it's "too strong"....I get very very depressed with mild hypomanic episodes. I feel like I only need a teeny bit of *whatever* to keep me from getting hypomanic and that Depakote makes me lethargic and lazy.
Thanks!!
Sarah

Dr Phelps references it alot in his website "Mood Swings:Bipolar II" at www.psycheducation.org.
Wish you well.
