that subject line isn't quite correct, but it sounded so much more interesting than "depakote and sexual disinterest".
but, that's really what it is. prozac seemed to actually restore my sex drive (i'm bipolar) but had to stop it b/c it made me too high. now i am taking 2000 mg depakote and 50 - 100 mg provigil but the provigil, though gentle, is, well, too gentle. but any dose higher and my heart starts racing.
i have had No interest in sex (this is difficult for me to post, just fyi i'm a 31 yr old woman, married almost 10 years) since about a week after stopping the prozac. when manic, i am irresonsibly sexual, so which is better? i don't know...
celexa robbed me of my sex drive and i didn't even really see it, so i'm senstive to this issue now.
anyone taking depakote have any advice/similar experiences? i also need something for energy in general.
thanks all.

KK,Mood stabilizers haven't reduced my libido, but a couple have actually noticeably *increased* it somewhat: Lithium and Oxcarbazepine (esp.). I don't know why. I know what you mean about Celexa :(
Maybe....your pdoc would allow a reduction of your Depakote with addition of lithium or oxcarbazepine?? Just some ideas.Mitch
