I had been on Zyprexa for almost 2 years before trying Geodon this year. I made the switch very cleanly and din't notice a big emotional impact from the change.
After 2 months on Geodon I was still having sleep problems (constatntly waking during the night) and din't feel an emotiobnal need to stay on the Geodon so I switched back to Zyprexa and have been satisfied with it since then. I still get adequate sleep and my thoughts are clear.
Ultimately I didn't see a difference between the two other than the sleeping side effects.

Hi as I have posted earlier, I have insomnia when I stopped zyprexa. I did not resume since I did not want to depend on antipsychotic med for sleep.
This is the end of the thread.
