I have been on medication for about 8 years now. The first 4 were with 60 mg/day of prozac. At first things were great, then they tapered off.
I went off the meds for about a year and went down hill. Of course getting a divorce doesnt help.
Anyway, I have been back on meds for about 2 years, and still not feeling wonderful. They are also telling me not only do I have depression, but also bi polar and have ADD. I am a white male 41.
Now I am on Effexor XP 300 mg/day and Conterta 36mg day for ADD. I don't notice anything. I don't have any motovation. I can't get my weight under control. I have no energy.
Yes, life has been good for the past 2 years, but I remember the first time the prozac kicked in, and this never seems to have any effect. I mean, that is some heavy doses.
I went to therapy for 2 years, and that went great. The doctor said I just need to move on and stay focused, but that seems to be impossible.
Has anyone else been like this?
