Should I continue on Effexor or go back to zoloft?

Hi- I just started EffexorXR about 8 days ago for panic attacks. I previously had been on zoloft 50 mg. with no side effects besides weight gain. I am reading about the terrible withdrwal symptoms from Effexor and am wondering if I should go back to the zoloft while I am at the beginning of Effexor treatment. Does anyone have any suggestions? Has anyone ever tried herbs like Nutracalm for the calming effects? I'd appreciate any suggestions or comments. Thanks!
