I started taking effexor xr 4 days ago.i'm taking 37.5mg for 7 days and then go to 75mg a day. I've had depression all my life.I am 30, i have 4 children. My oldest is 11 and he's on paxil. I could not take paxil and he could not take effexor. I've had very serious nausea, but it's better everyday. i'm also very thirsty but then water is very good for you! i have also noticed that i dont sleep very well. I only worry about being able to afford to stay on my med. does anyone else know what i'm talking about? thats why i havent been on medication in a very long time. around here they dont like to give away very many samples. My family is in the middle, we make to much for any kind of help but not eneough for 100 a month for meds.

You may want to inquire about a medication indigent program just in case they can help you: http://www.phrma.org/searchcures/dpdpap/
