Does anyone know anything about Serafem? A friend of my was prescribed it for PMS and says it is
a cousin to Paxil. Yet she only takes it one to two weeks before her cycle to eleviate PMS symtoms.
Then she is off it for two or three weeks, however she has planned it. I was interested in it also.
I had been taking Trazadone which I stopped after too many negative side effects. Was wondering if
this could be an alternative for me. Right now I am
afraid to try anything after trazadone messsing me up.

I believe Serafem is Prozac marketed under a different name, so yes it is an SSRI like Paxil.

My understanding is that it is 10 mg of Prozac taking on certain days of the month before menstration.[for PMS]
