I currently take topamax for chronic migrains and cluster headaches. I have had between 6-8 headaches a day for the last 3 years. So I live in constant chronic pain. My Nurologist has put me on Topamax 150 mg. at this time to try to prevent the headaces and pain. Topamax is a seizure- anticonvulsant medicine that is being used for many things now. It has many side effects. weight loss, memory loss, being the most popular. A person with epilepsy can take a dose of 200mg am and 200mg pm. So I am still on a low dose considering and still having headaches. I am contemplaiting my neuro will up the dosage until the pain stops. I am sensitive to medicines and have tollerated this one well. So it is a good medicine I think. You can go to www.rxlist.com and type in topamax and find out info on topamax such as side effects warnings etc. Good luck!
