How bad does a cut have to be to get sutures? My gf beat on me and I of course had to continue the abuse on my own. It isn't bleeding uncontrollably, but it's wide and kinda deep...

I would think a good "rule of thumb," would be when it doubt get it checked out. The fact that your wound is wide AND deep sounds like you ought to have the Doc take a look at it.

Wide and deep sounds like suture time. And a TETANUS shot if you haven't had one recently.

thanks shar and everyone. they told me it was too late for sutures. I escaped when the PA left the room to get some sort of paperwork, and I heard them page (in a code I recognized) the psychiatric evaluation team. I wonder what happened when they found the room empty? hmm.. anyway the wound is no longer bleeding, and seems not to be infected. thanks all.
