Is it safe to drink diet soda on Wellbutrin? Nutrisweet has phenylalanine in it...a precursor to dopamine. I've heard of people getting sick taking tryptophan (serotonin precursor) with SSRIs, but never heard anything about phenylalanine and Wellbutrin taken together. Anybody know?

Have as much nutrasweet and aspartame as you want. It will not harm you. If "fake sugar" was contraindicated with the use of wellbutrin they would say that it is in the list of side effects. Good luck
