Serzone: Worse for OCD?

Posted by David J. on June 8, 2000, at 19:09:47

I have read that mccp( or is it mcccp?) makes ocd worse for OCD sufferers. Mccp is also a metabolite of Serzone so I was wondering if anyone out there has had their ocd worsened by this drug?
just curious

David J, I have OCD (moderate I guess), and took Serzone for a while. It didn't exacerbate the OCD; it just didn't get rid of the obsessions. I loved Serzone, except for that (I felt great, no social anxiety). Am now on Effexor-XR because the other drugs I tried (Prozac, Luvox, Zoloft) all had bad sexual side effects. From what I've read, Serzone doesn't worsen OCD; it just doesn't remedy it much.--Cindy W
