I am into my third week of recovery since my only panic attack. The resulting anxiety was intense and I was on Ativan for 9 days.. now I'm on disability and Celexa and practice relaxation techniques. But seriously, I seem to be psychologicaly impaired. I have trouble thinking quickly, can only drive a short distance from home, and seem to be like in a bit of a dream fog sometimes where I have trouble concentrating on paperwork and whatnot. Is this normal at this point? Has anyone else experienced this as a result of developing an anxiety disorder? Does it go away?

Did you review the side effects of Ativan with your prescribing doctor? They are as follows: dizziness, memory impairment, nausea, agitation, disorientation and drowsiness. This should clear things up a bit.
And, they may dissipate in time, should you require your body to adjust to the new chemicals you are introducing it.
