I run everyday. It is an obbsesion with me, a good one.
I am TypeA/ADD/Bipolar and take dexedrine and lithium. I would like some input on wether or not my meds wear away more quickly because I run (100+ miles/week)? Or if anyone knows anybody who runs alot and notices a change in mood pre run and hours after run? Thank you, Running Man

Hi running Man,
I too have both ADD/bipolar, take dexedrine and lithium and love to run. I don't run as much as you, but yeah, I'd say it's about the best obbsession you could have.
Unfortunately I can't help you with your question about your medications. Hopefully someone else will be able to.
As for my mood, I usually start running in a low to medium mood. During my run, my mind is very 'busy', but after my run my mood most definately improves. Running seems to be the only things that allows my body to relax. It helps my circadian rhythm problems, regulates my appetite, significantly helps with sleep.
Do you find that it is addictive? Do you find it hard on your joints (knee, hips)?
Janice
