Jessica,
Risperdal is classed as an anti-psychotic and used sometimes to augment your AD. Are you taking anything besides the Risperdal? Also, you didn't mention a dose. For about one week I took 2mg 2X day. I felt very detached when I tried it. It was also very sedating.
I know that others have found success with it. I ultimately found another anti-psychotic called Zyprexa that works for me.
I hope the Risperdal works for you,
Chris

Respirdal was approved as one of the new generation of anti-psychotics, but it has been found to have both anti-anxiety and anti-depressant effects. You can go to mentalhealth.com and there is a section on medications.
I've been on 3 mg a day along with celexa and lamictal. What I've been most aware of is its anti-anxiety properties. The only side effect that was problematic for me (and only at the beginning) was that it was sedating, but I've now gotten used to it.> Jessica,
