I experienced two incidents unrelated to food or drug interactions. I have been on Parnate for four weeks at a gradually increasing dose to 40mg daily. The ER MD's treated me as a migraine patient who then experienced hypertension. They also tried to give me vasopressors (nitroglycerin) and narcotics. I also experienced with the intense headache, which start at the base of my skull, myotonic spasms of the upper back and neck. After two weeks, I am still experiencing back and neck pain and severe headaches. I had a course of steroids for the pain and have been doing physical therapy. My question is, when will this go away, or how should it be treated?
