i feel very fortunate to have discovered this board, it feels like a rare world where almost everyone understands and tries to help each other. i've seen babblers looking out for one another when someone has been absent for a while...i'll be gone until march. i am instructing an outward bound delinquent girls' course and will be away from computers (and toilets, showers, t.v.s, beds etc) for a while.
definately having those transition troubles now. though i have instructed courses before, i have never had such a break (month and a half) between courses, and i don't know how prepared i am to go back. i hope that i can deal with the stress, pressure, and inablility to have any time for myself for a month (i'm scared).
if i don't have a nervous breakdown and am pulled off course sooner, i will see you all in march. thank-you for all the information and support. i'll be drawing upon it, and offering up little babbler prayers as i float down the river :)

Juniper,
I'll miss you, and look forward to your return.
This course sounds like an adventure in more than one way. Good luck!

juniper-
You are most extraordinary and courageous to be
helping young women come to grips with their
ruptured lives, while questions and fears about
yourself still evade you. Good on you! My hope
for you is to have at least one victory daily,
no matter how small. In fact, you have already
begun, by recognizing your weaknesses and baring
them to our scrutiny. Yes they are scrummy (scary
and crummy!) but I see them shrinking away. And
very soon, they will be like the dried mud on your
boots - at one time a trapping, drowning ooze. But
the furnace of your journey will dry it and with
a good kick, you will see that it was, after all,
only dust.
Best wishes for a safe trip.

Good luck, Juniper. What a good thing you're doing to help young people. Helping others is good medicine. I hope you have a great time.
