I have heard that a link between Caffeind and depression
has been found in some studies of PTSD. Apparently the
caffeine can be responsibe for increased Anxiety and
depression. Can anyone point me to more information on
this subject?

We know that caffeine affects the way that benzodiazepines function (it's thought that it affects the binding of the benzodiazepines to the benzodiazepine receptors), and clearly caffeine is a stimulant; so it's thought that caffeine is something that increases anxiety. On the other hand, one often hears it called a "mild antidepressant," and for some, moderate caffeine intake has a calming effect. But, for those with anxiety disorders, it's generally thought to be a good idea at least to significantly limit one's caffeine intake.
