I have a patient who, according to MCMI-III, is Dx'ed GAD with paranoid, defeatist and dependent traits...very labile affect...focused on medications as answer...refractory to meds though as she is to cognitive behavioral therapy...my thoughts run to MAOIs, ECS, recent neurolyptics or discharge....she has been my patient for three years...been through several MDs....any feedback
